The Wednesday walk on September 9th will be
Barrow Banks, Bog End Moss, Height, Ayside, Seatle, Greenhurst, Bigland Tarn, Hazelrigg, Barrow Banks
***But note, there will be changes from the usual Wednesday arrangements***
· We will not meet at Ulverston (because sharing cars unnecessarily is not allowed by the government there is no reason to meet there), but all travel directly to the start at Barrow Banks to commence walking at 10:00am. If you want a coffee or whatever before your walk, just arrive early.
· Please tell the General Secretary if you want to go on the walk, so we can have an idea of numbers and plan the group sizes. It is not an issue if a couple of people don’t turn up or even if a couple extra turn up, but we should know the approximate size of the group so we can plan.
· We will make sure the groups are not too big, although 6 if often referred to as the maximum groups size on the government's website, there are numerous caveats, and the Ramblers Association recommends a maximum group size of 30! If there are 10 or more walkers, we will divide the group and I or another volunteer will lead the same walk in reverse.
To get to Barrow Banks, on the A590 pass Newby Bridge and the Shell garage and take the first signposted turn left (signposted “STAVELEY”), then turn immediately right and park on the old road.
